Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War/Aces

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War features 169 unique named aircraft for the player to hunt and shoot down. Many of these named aircraft only appear on a certain Ace Style and have a specific spawn condition. Shooting down a named aircraft will add their entry to the in-game "Assault Records" where players can view more information about the pilot flying the aircraft.

The list below is grouped by mission. Selecting a row will show all information about the named aircraft including its spawn details and the pilot's Assault Records biography. Minor inaccuracies (for example, "Galm Flight" instead of Galm Team) are included verbatim, but major translation errors are corrected and accompanied by a note.

The superscript ^SP indicates shooting down that named aircraft will unlock the aircraft's Special color.

He succeeded in landing his damaged fighter, and continued his career in the air force working his way up from officer to base commander. After the war, he became a professor of history at the University of Dinsmark, where he continues to apply himself diligently towards his teaching and research.

Shortly after the war's outbreak, he was officially assigned to the front lines, where he was killed in action a few months later. His remains have yet to be recovered.

He was a veteran pilot with a fantastic war record over the southern quarter of Area B7R, however, he was shot down and killed in a skirmish with Galm Flight.

He currently maintains a busy schedule running the family business.

After the war, he found work as an automobile salesman, and is currently passing his days as an ordinary citizen.
	035	TND-GR4 ABSENDER	Mission 04C "Juggernaut (Costner)"	Any	No	Any	Appears when the allied fleet passes through the halfway point of the Futuro Canal, if no allied ships have been sunk. Due to a bug, ABSENDER will always be added to the player's Assault Record regardless of the player shooting him down or even spawning him.	Dietmar Wolf	33	Male	Belkan	Shot Down (04/24/95)	He was shot down and captured by Allied forces in an aerial battle over the Futuro Canal, and was made a prisoner of war. After the war he was tried as a class BC war criminal. However, the charges were later dismissed due to rather dubious testimony from the prosecution. He now resides in the Kingdom of Sapin.

After the war, he started a shipping company with a relative. It has since grown into the largest in North Belka.
	038	A-10ASP FISCHER	Mission 05 "Flicker of Hope"	Any	No	Any	Appears to the west after all AA GUNs and SAMs are destroyed.	Albrecht Klos	35	Male	Belkan	Shot Down (05/12/95)	Shot down during an aerial battle over Solis Ortus, he was later discovered by The Osean Bureau of Investigation in 2003. Suffering from memory loss, it appears that he had been living in seclusion within the city of Cinigrad. He is now residing with family.
	039	F-16C TRINKER	Mission 05 "Flicker of Hope"	Any	No	EXPERT+	If no allied transport aircraft have been shot down, he will appear after 16 TGTs (both ground and air) have been destroyed. He has since moved to the neutral country of San Salvacion, where he runs a small hotel next to the ocean completely removed from the events of the war.
	042	F-20A ANWALT	Mission 05 "Flicker of Hope"	Knight	No	Any	Appears after the player shoots down both TGT F-20As.	Heinrich Koenig	29	Male	Belkan	Shot Down (05/12/95)	During the war, he joined Belka's extreme right wing party, but disappeared when a cease-fire was declared. Investigation into his whereabouts continues. Update: 05/97 Anonymous information states that he is now a member of the terrorist organization The Falcons of Dawn.

Axel Reichert	35	Male	Belkan	Shot Down (05/12/95)	The Belkan Air Force 12th Air Division's top ace, he forged an impressive war record in conflicts throughout the world. He was given the nickname The Swan for having never taken a hit. After the war, he retired from service, and now works for a small nation as a mercenary suppressing any Coup D'etat movements.
	044	SU-37SP GELB 2	Mission 06 "Diapason"	Any	No	Any		Rainer Altman	32	Male	Belkan	Shot Down (05/13/95)	Charged with the duty of preventing the liberation of Directus, he headed in the direction of the capital city, but was intercepted and shot down by Ustio forces. After the war, he married in Directus and is currently pursuing a career there as a writer.
	045	SU-37 GELB 1	Mission 06 "Diapason"	Any	No	Any		Orbert Jager	34	Male	Belkan	Killed in Action (05/13/95)	He served as Commander of an intercept squadron on Belka's southern defense position, the Hydrian Line. Adopting the southern front as a base, he utilized his command of combat aerial tactics as a weapon to strike out at enemy forces in all directions.
	046	F-15C IBIS	Mission 06 "Diapason"	Mercenary	No	Any		David Hartmann	29	Male	Belkan	Shot Down (05/13/95)	Graduating as a physicist from the 7th Service Academy top of his class, he applied for placement in the Experimental Space Navigation Team, but was denied acceptance. After the war, he moved to Erusea where he received his PhD in Physics from the Usean University of Engineering. He was involved with the development and operation of Stonehenge.

After the war, he pursed a career researching communication engineering.
	048	F-14D WILDGANS	Mission 06 "Diapason"	Knight	No	Any		Gerald Wessels	28	Male	Belkan	Shot Down (05/13/95)	During the war, he was arrested and convicted for the crime of treason against the government of Belka. After the war, an Allied investigation proved the charges were false and exonerated him. He now works for a security company in Ustio.

Considering statements taken from members of his former squadron, it is highly probable that the official records have been altered. Regarded as an extremely dangerous element, his whereabouts are being investigated.

His skills became the cornerstone of the anti-ship forces in the Belkan War. He was shot down during Operation Hell Bound.
