Lucijan Markovic
Lucijan Markovic, callsign Pegas, was an ace pilot in the Eastern Faction and Estovakian Air Force. He was the flight lead of the Estovakian Air Force's Central Forces Precinct, 120th Aviation Regiment, 1st Tactical Fighter Squadron.[1]
Markovic is the first ace the player can encounter in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. The player must shoot down all TGTs within 120 seconds of starting the mission, then shoot down the F/A-18Fs within 120 seconds of their appearance, and then shoot down two of the Rafale Ms that appear. Markovic will appear near the player at high altitude.[2]
Biography[edit | edit source]
Markovic attended and graduated from the renowned Northern Pegasus aviation training academy.[1]
Following the Ulysses Impact Event in 1999, the resulting economic turmoil saw Estovakia come under the control of rival regional factions.[3] Markovic became enlisted in the Eastern Faction air force.[1]
When the Eastern Faction declared war on the Lyes United Front and sparked the Estovakian Civil War, Markovic's skill and accomplishments in the earlier stages of the conflict earned him renown which outshined even Strigon and Vampire squadrons. However, as the war progressed, his reputation was eventually overshadowed by Victor Voychek and Ilya Pasternak. When the Eastern Faction ultimately won the Estovakian Civil War in late 2013, Markovic became part of the new national Estovakian Air Force.[1]
On August 30, 2015, Markovic took part in the Invasion of Gracemeria, the opening battle of the Emmeria-Estovakia War, in an effort to regain his former glory. He managed to press the assault against Emmerian forces, but was shot down by Garuda Team during the battle.[1]
