The Harrier doesn't actually have VTOL, either. The only reason the Harrier and F-35B were playable in AH and Infinity was because a VTOL mission was planned for AH; it was cut, but they kept the aircraft, and there's a little bit of the code left in the way they fly during a stall.

I would definitely like to see VTOL in a future game, though.
